UST Mamiya to Showcase New Shaft Line at 2010 Japan Golf Fair (Booth D-6)

(FORT WORTH, TX) – UST Mamiya – maker of the world’s finest carbon fiber golf shafts – will debut its ATTAS International Series ISA-1000 0.350” tip hybrid shaft at the 2010 Japan Golf Fair (Booth D-6) in Tokyo, Japan.

The latest addition to the company’s famed shaft lines, the ATTAS International Series ISA-1000 hybrid shafts with a .350” tip will be available in three different weights; 75 gram (regular and stiff flexes), 85 gram (regular, stiff and x-stiff flexes), and 95 gram (stiff and x-stiff flexes).

"The Japan Golf Fair has always been a great place for us to launch new products and connect with buyers and consumers,” says Gene Simpson, COO of UST Mamiya. “The new addition to the ATTAS International Series ISA-1000 line continues to push the performance envelope for golfers.”

Introduced in Japan in early 2009 and in North America late last year, the ATTAS line was immediately adopted by Tour players globally. Engineered with smooth-bending properties throughout the shaft’s constant taper design, more energy is transferred to the ball for instant feedback, unparalleled feel and greater distance and accuracy. Ultra-thin carbon fibers optimize feel and allow the shaft to maintain its shape for consistent, accurate shots. ATTAS is distinguished by its tri-color look, notably its atomic orange.

Likened to the precision of automaker Lexus, all UST Mamiya shafts are unrivaled in quality and performance attributed to world-class design engineering, premium-selected raw materials and precise handcrafted, repeatable production techniques. Tight tolerances, coupled with proprietary design principles and low-resin carbon-fiber materials enhance feel during the golf swing.

Stewart Cink, a long-time user of UST Mamiya shafts, won the 2009 British Open playing Proforce AXIVCore® shafts in his driver and three-wood. Cink also plays the company’s ATTAS shaft in his five-wood.

UST Mamiya® produces 35 shaft models within the ATTAS® and Proforce® product lines, each of which will be on display at the Japan Golf Fair.
